An Ode to Ireland
The Definitive Irish Golf Tour
For sheer poetry in golf, this one takes the top honours. A veritable roller-coaster of top-notch courses on the Irish shores — beginning with Royal Portrush and Royal County Down in the north, before heading south to tackle the legendary quintet of Old Head, Waterville, Ballybunion, Lahinch, and Trump Doonbeg.
Six stops across the entire island, from the awe-inspiring Giant's Causeway coast to the idyllic villages of Kinsale and Killarney, finishing at the Atlantic drama of County Clare. Nine championship rounds, six luxury hotels, and the kind of Irish hospitality that turns first-timers into repeat visitors.
Add the natural splendours of Northern Ireland, the cultural energy of Dublin, and the charm of the South-West — this is Ireland's calling card. Are you coming?

Day by Day
A suggested flow for your 13 days across Ireland. Every day is flexible — extend, shorten, or swap.
Welcome to the Causeway Coast
Arrive at Belfast International Airport. Private transfer north to the Bushmills Inn on the Causeway Coast (approx. 1.5 hours). This coaching inn dates to the 17th century — turf fires, a secret library bar, and the warmest welcome in Antrim. Settle in and explore the village. Dinner at the inn.
Where the Open Returned
The Open Championship returned to Royal Portrush in 2019 after a 68-year absence — and the Dunluce Links proved why it was worth the wait. Dramatic Causeway Coast setting, the Valley Course in the shadow of Dunluce Castle, and one of the most demanding finishing stretches in links golf. Afternoon visit to the Giant's Causeway — Ireland's only UNESCO World Heritage Site, a 15-minute drive from the hotel.
The World's Best?
Transfer south to Newcastle, Co Down (approx. 2 hours). Royal County Down sits beneath the Mourne Mountains and is regularly ranked the #1 course on the planet. The towering dunes, gorse-framed fairways, and the backdrop of Slieve Donard (Northern Ireland's highest peak) make this a round you'll remember forever. Check in to the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa adjacent to the course.
Rest Day in the Mournes
A non-golf day to explore. Walk the Mourne Mountains (the inspiration for C.S. Lewis's Narnia), stroll the Victorian seafront promenade in Newcastle, or simply relax at the Slieve Donard's spa with views across Dundrum Bay. Optional: afternoon 9 holes on Royal County Down's Annesley Links.
South to the Capital
Morning transfer south to Dublin (approx. 2 hours). Check in to the Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links — a historic property on 'The Velvet Strand', one of Ireland's most beautiful stretches of uninterrupted coastline. Afternoon free to explore Portmarnock village or take the DART train into Dublin city centre.
Dublin's Championship Links
Minutes from the city, Portmarnock is one of the top links courses in the world — host to multiple Irish Opens, the Canada Cup, and the Walker Cup. The peninsula setting means the wind direction changes every few holes. A true test for the serious golfer.
Dublin's Hidden Gem, Then South
Private transfer to The Island Golf Club at Donabate — bordered by the Irish Sea on three sides, with the highest sand dunes of any links in Ireland. After the round, begin the transfer south to Kinsale, Co Cork (approx. 4 hours via motorway). Check in to Actons Hotel in the colourful harbour town — Ireland's gourmet capital.
Cliffs, Ocean & Drama
The unforgettable Old Head Golf Links at Kinsale — 220 acres jutting two miles into the Atlantic, with ocean views from every single hole. One of the most dramatic golf settings on Earth. After the round, transfer west to Kenmare (approx. 2 hours) and check in to Sheen Falls Lodge — a Relais & Châteaux country manor with cascading waterfalls.
The Ring of Kerry
A scenic drive along the Ring of Kerry to Waterville — consistently rated one of the top five courses in Ireland and one of the top twenty links courses in the world. Adjacent to the Ring of Kerry, the course sits between the Atlantic and the Kerry mountains. Return to Sheen Falls for the evening.
Munster's Links Crown
The Irish Atlantic coast is home to the largest and most formidable dunes seen on links land anywhere — and Ballybunion's Old Course uses them to devastating effect. Towering sandhills, narrow fairways, and greens perched on cliff edges. Tom Watson called it "a golf course I would travel the world to play." Return to Sheen Falls.
The St Andrews of Ireland
Transfer north via the Killimer-Tarbert ferry to County Clare. Lahinch Old Course — frequently called "the St Andrews of Ireland" — with its mood swings influenced by the ever-changing Atlantic. After the round, short transfer to Trump International Hotel at Doonbeg. Check in to your ocean-view suite.
Atlantic Finale
Your final round at Greg Norman's Doonbeg — beautifully renovated by Martin Hawtree, set against the crashing Atlantic on Doughmore Bay. Savour every step along this dramatic stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way. Tonight: farewell dinner at the Trump Doonbeg resort, including half a bottle of wine per person.
Slán go fóill
Full Irish breakfast, then private transfer to Shannon Airport (approx. 1.5 hours). Or extend — we can add a Donegal add-on, a Scotland extension, or a Dublin city break.
