Pezula Championship Course
Pezula Championship Course
Pezula is South Africa's most visually dramatic golf course — perched on the Knysna Heads above the Indian Ocean lagoon, with views of the lagoon, the ocean, and the Outeniqua Mountains that stop play regularly as golfers reach for their cameras. Ronald Fream and David Dale's routing makes maximum use of the extraordinary clifftop terrain.
The course descends from the elevated clubhouse through indigenous forest and clifftop holes, with the lagoon mouth visible from almost every elevated position. Knysna's famous lagoon, the Heads themselves, and the surrounding Garden Route forest create a setting of incomparable natural beauty.
Course Highlights
The famous Knysna Heads gateway to the Indian Ocean is visible from multiple elevated tees — one of Africa's great golf panoramas.
Holes play along and above the Knysna Lagoon with the ocean beyond — dramatic, beautiful, and completely unique.
Mid-round holes pass through protected Knysna yellowwood forest — South Africa's last great coastal forest.
Located in the most beautiful town on the Garden Route — Knysna's lagoon, oysters, and forest are part of the experience.
