Laem Chabang International Country Club
The Old Course at St. Andrews is considered to be the birthplace of golf, with evidence of play on the links land beside the town dating back to the 1400s. It is the most famous golf course in the world and the Mecca to which every golfer aspires to make pilgrimage at least once in a lifetime โ to walk across the iconic Swilcan Bridge, navigate the treacherous Hell Bunker, and stand on the 1st tee with the R&A Clubhouse at your back.
Although it's a classic seaside links, the sea is seldom in view other than at the first and last holes. The course remains a formidable challenge with golf's largest greens โ 14 holes share a green with another. There are no great sand dunes, the fairways are wide and the double greens immense, but the 112 bunkers are among the severest to be found anywhere. It also features a unique, counter-clockwise routing โ a course that reveals new subtleties with every round.
