Gleneagles — King's Course

The King's Course is the oldest and most revered of the three Gleneagles courses, designed by five-time Open champion James Braid in 1919. Set amid heather moorland with sweeping views of the Trossachs and Grampian Mountains, it is the original Gleneagles experience — a demanding but beautiful parkland track that has charmed golfers for over a century.

Braid's routing makes masterful use of the natural terrain: blind shots over ridges, burns that cross several fairways, and greens protected by deep pot bunkers. The King's Course played host to international tournaments in the 1920s and 1930s, and it remains the most character-rich of the Gleneagles trio.
