Al Maaden Golf Resort
Al Maaden is Kyle Phillips's Marrakech masterpiece — an 18-hole desert course set within a private villa resort on the southern outskirts of the city with direct views of the High Atlas Mountains. The course uses the natural desert terrain extensively, with sandy waste areas and oleander scrubland replacing conventional rough.
The lack of traditional rough fairway definition gives Al Maaden an open, wind-exposed character that rewards precision shot-making. The closing holes looking directly towards the Atlas peaks provide one of the most memorable finishing sequences in African golf.
